The Consulting Committee offers an exciting new opportunity for members to engage with real-world industry challenges in the fields of medical devices, synthetic biology, and computational biology. Through partnerships with innovative biotech companies, members gain hands-on experience solving complex problems using data analysis, literature review, and creative problem-solving techniques.

Networking Opportunities: Build relationships with industry leaders, including CEOs and cofounders of cutting-edge biotech organizations, and develop connections valuable for med school, graduate programs, research, or job applications.

How It Works

Team Structure: Each project team will include a project manager and consultants who will collaborate closely throughout the semester.

Regular Meetings: Teams meet weekly to discuss progress and brainstorm solutions. Additionally, biweekly meetings with company representatives will allow teams to present work, align on goals, and develop professional relationships.

Skill Development: Members will gain expertise in problem-solving, engineering, and public speaking, culminating in the opportunity to present their findings to company leadership at the end of the project.

Everyone is welcome! Even if you don't have experience! Candidates must wait until after completing their candidacy.

We understand that consulting may be a new and daunting experience for many. As consulting chairs, we are here to guide you. This semester, we'll host consulting workshops to ensure members feel prepared and confident in their roles.
